How to set the co-pay price for insurance

A copay is a flat fee the policyholder (patient) pays for a health care service, which is one way insurers share the cost of medical services. When copay service is requested, a portion of the bill is added to the patient's private bill, and the other portion is added to the insurance bill.

Copays for patients would usually have a COPAY tag.

To set a co-pay price for insurance, follow these steps below;

1. Log into the EMR.

2. Click on “Manage Billing”.

3. Select the insurance provider under “Current provider”.

4. Search for the desired item in the search bar at the top right corner of your screen.

5. Click on the "edit" icon beside the item of your choice.

6. Input all necessary details and then click the "Confirm" button.
